hello! so you're a little confused... ok. we can help! :) the biggest difference between the old sequencer and the new one is that before you can put a sample into the timeline, you have to FIRST create an AUDIO TRACK. add stuff > instruments > audio track drag it to the left, under ADD STUFF, until you see the red line, and then let go. once that track is in place, you can drag as many samples to it as you want.
