Amiee 'Thaumata' Jacobsen

Hello, hello! I'm Thaumata. I got involved with Splice when a friend of mine begged me to stay up late and help name the new music remixing site he wanted to build. Many, many pots of coffee later, you can find me here still! I handle most of the community work here, so if there is a tutorial, feature or event, you can bet I had something to do with it. I also handle most of the educational materials on the site - from tutorials to FAQs to user help mails. I grew up near Chicago, IL, USA, and when I'm not working on Splice, I like to play and teach classical and blues piano and voice, my old college majors.

Hi! I'm the guy that started Smartelectronix, then did (and still does) Freesound and now, finally, you can find me tweaking things here at Splice. Apart for some of the audio effects and a big chunk of our core audio engine I do a bit of everything here so you'll find bits of my handiwork all over the site. Some pages of the site, some filthy database work in the dark dark dungeons and some audio magic over at the sequencer where Master Flash Brainiac André sprinkles his magic stardust.

Mikko 'Crankshaft' Karvonen

Yo! I am one of the original Splicers, being in the team from the very beginning. The old sequencer in Splice v1 was coded by me, that being my first Flash project ever! Apart from coding some of the audio effects in the new sequencer, I'm responsible for dozens of small things here and there as well as for most of the site building -- there really isn't a part in Splice that I haven't touched in some way. When I'm not busy coding, I'm making music under the moniker Crankshaft. But you know how the cobbler's children go barefoot? Well, I haven't done that much music on Splice yet, but now with the new sequencer and all that's gonna change!

And I'm Mr.doob! Being doing online design/dev for ages now. The guys approached me for doing a redesign of the site. Sounds easy, but that means a lot of testings, defining styles, doing icon styles, thinking about how you will interact... right, this is boring, well, at some point Antti continued my job and the end result is what is around this text... and... that's why I'm here.
